Notice
Data available through the IBM Find and Compare Tool (FACT) on 03 Mar 2008 will be supported and maintained through 2008. New and additional products announced after 03 Mar 2008 have not been and will not be added. A limited version of the tool will remain in place in 2009 with reduced capability. Pricing and upgrade paths are no longer maintained in the tool and will be removed beginning in January 2009. We do not anticipate replacing the FACT tool with a similar tool at this time. Rather, our strategy is to provide equivalent capability through a variety of other tools and documents.

Additionally, the possibility of providing a simple program via PTF in IBM i V6.1 that will allow users to query the system for detailed information regarding the number of processors installed, active, and other virtualization data is under investigation. It would be intended to remove the need for querying the processor feature code in IBM i using the QPRCFEAT command and looking it up in FACT to deduce various system information. More information about this program will be posted here, if and when it becomes available.
